starting his own firm, Matthew Cordone worked for two established architectural
firms as well as for a general contractor, which has given him a unique designer + builder perspective. For the past twenty-five years, he has worked on a variety of
project types, including: residential, academic, scientific laboratories, new
construction, renovation, commercial, historic restoration, historic preservation,
and affordable housing projects for private and public clients.
Matthew Cordone holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the Wentworth
Institute of Technology in Boston. Mr. Cordone is licensed to practice architecture in New York, Connecticut, Maryland and Massachusetts. He is a member of American Institute of Architects, Society of Architecture Historians, National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, US Green Building Council, Connecticut Trust for

envelopes to urban planning.
Matthew Cordone Architect PLLC has completed many renewal projects over
the past decade. These projects have tended towards multi-use renovations,
many involving an historic restoration component. Most projects include
rehabilitation in support of mixed residential and commercial uses.
Matthew Cordone Architect PLLC focuses on an urban architecture for the
purpose of designing social minded architecture. The value of the architecture
that is created and preserved relies upon its relevance to its user. Our goal is to
create architecture and allow for historical architecture to flourish today and
tomorrow.

Worked through complicated Historic District approval process in finicky Hudson Valley locale and supervised construction efficiently to meet significant time constraints. I will happily use Matt and his firm again the future.
